Renowned Chinese composer and conductor Tan Dun’s new commissioned work, Sound River, is inspired by his decade-long travels along the Silk Road, where he immersed himself in the diverse music and cultures of ancient cities. Tan Dun will conduct the world premiere of the piece, featuring the newly formed Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival Orchestra, comprising the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and Macao Orchestra. The cinematic concert will captivate audiences with a large screen displaying Tan Dun’s meticulously captured footage along the Silk Road.
