Two bubble-wrapped beings are delivered on stage, their boxes are labeled ‘Fragile’ and ‘Caution’, those simple words becoming their names. Fragile and Caution are akin to the First Man and Woman of this office towers and online shopping era, receiving the basic kit to create an office space where everything is possible. As they familiarise themselves with their environment and try to understand the reasons for existence, a catalogue falls into their lap. A plethora of objects are suddenly available to them. Sale! Clearance! They become hungry to buy, buy, buy! And they grow thirsty for coffee! As deliveries accumulate, their universe rapidly becomes chaotic and impractical, leaving them almost buried alive. How could Fragile and Caution have acted differently?

L’Arrière Scène

L'Arrière Scène - Centre for Dramatic Arts for Children and Youth has the mission of producing and presenting creative works in Quebec, Canada, and internationally, in addition to hosting and broadcasting performances at its venue aimed at audiences of early childhood, youth, and teenagers, to whom it also offers cultural mediation activities.

Creative, playful, poetic, and always well connected with young audiences, L’Arrière Scène has been bringing to life theatrical works of great artistic quality since 1976. Its universe, where various stage languages made of images, music, gestures, and words harmonise, has already charmed over 600,000 spectators and continues to amaze both young and old by developing their interest in the performing arts.

Within its walls, in addition to the works of its founder and artistic direction, remarkable creations have emerged, signed by Wajdi Mouawad, Simon Boulerice, and many others.
