Discover Two of the Greater Bay Area’s Most Dynamic Cultural Cities – Macao and Zhuhai!

Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo (HKPAX) is pleased to present an optional add-on programme, the Greater Bay Area Performing Arts Tour. Taking place on 14 and 15 October 2026, this two-day tour offers arts professionals from around the world a unique opportunity to explore two of the Greater Bay Area's most vibrant cultural cities— Macao and Zhuhai.

Participants will visit a selection of leading performing arts venues and cultural facilities, including the Macao Cultural Centre and Zhuhai Jinwan Art Center, gaining first-hand insights into the local arts ecologies and emerging development trends. The tour will also provide opportunities to engage with local arts organisations and cultural practitioners, offering a deeper understanding of the diverse cultural landscapes of both cities.

Rooted in Chinese culture and enriched by Portuguese heritage and an international outlook, Macao has cultivated a unique arts ecosystem where culture, tourism and hospitality are interconnected. Moving further north, Zhuhai is rapidly emerging as a vibrant cultural hub leveraging tourism to build new creative spaces, cultivate younger audiences and broaden public participation.

Through venue visits, professional exchanges and networking opportunities, participants will gain valuable insights into the performing arts ecology of Macao and Zhuhai, expand their regional networks, and explore future opportunities for cross-city and cross-disclipinary collaborations within the Greater Bay Area.
