Your registration for a Full Pass/ Day Pass/ Student Pass/ Family Pass signifies your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions in full and agreement to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, the Terms of Use of the Website, the Privacy Policy Statement of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (“HKADC” or “we”) and all applicable laws without limitation or qualification. “Pass” means the admission ticket for the events organised by the “Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo” (HKPAX). “Event” means any of the performances, exhibition, conversations (forums, leadership talks and artists’ sharing) or activities held during 14‒18 October 2024 (regardless of the form, media, genre, theme and/or nature of such performance, exhibition or activity, whether admission is free or otherwise). “Event Ticket” means a Ticket for an Event.
Your registration is strictly personal. Users are obliged to provide accurate personal information. It is forbidden to submit another person’s or company’s data to create an HKPAX account, or to create a fake account. In case of abuse, HKPAX withholds the right to refuse registration or terminate the account without reimbursement of expenses.
In case you are making a registration on behalf of another person (in the scope of individual or group registrations), you confirm to do this with the consent of this person and acknowledge your obligation to inform them about all applicable terms and conditions.
Presentation of a HKPAX Full Pass/ Day Pass/ Student Pass/ Family Pass, admission into an Event and enjoyment of any privileges arising from or in connection with the Event Ticket by any person (whether by the HKPAX registered account holder or a third party presenting the Event Ticket) shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions.
A Pass and/or Event Ticket shall only be applied and payment settled through a valid registered user account on the HKPAX’s official website (“Website”). Registration for a Pass/ Event Ticket is on a first-come, first-served basis.
All events have limited quotas. Pass holders are required to pre-select events including Expo Programmes and International Showcases through the Website in advance to reserve Event Tickets and the deadline to make changes to your selection is 1 October 2024; walk-in options are available for other Events. Event quotas are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. For detailed registration formats of Events, please refer to the latest updates on our official website.
Pass holders have the option to pre-select Events on the Website and save them for payment processing later. The system will store such information in the Pass holder’s user account. However, please note that Event Tickets cannot be reserved in the Website until the transaction is completed. If payment is not settled within fourteen (14) calendar days after transaction, the order will be automatically cancelled by the Website system.
Access to specific events is granted based on the type of HKPAX Pass purchased. For detailed information regarding the events and different types of access, please refer to the latest updates on our official website.
Discounts are provided based on specific conditions. For detailed information regarding eligibility criteria for discounts, please refer to the latest updates on our Website. It is important to note that discounts cannot be combined.
Student Passes are available only to Hong Kong tertiary-level students.
Event Tickets will be distributed to Pass holder’s user account who have successfully selected their desired event(s) on our official website. To gain admission into events including Expo Programmes and International Showcases, holders of the HKPAX Pass must present a valid soft or hard copy of the Event Ticket.
Each Pass/Event Ticket is for admission by one individual to the specified Event.
The Pass(es)/Event Ticket(s) shall not be sold, exchanged for cash or any other goods, services and/or privileges, and/or returned or refunded (same as otherwise permitted by these Terms and Conditions).
No replacement Pass/Event Ticket will be issued if defaced, deleted or corrupted.
For the sake of clarity, any holder of a HKPAX Pass should not share the Pass(es)/Event Ticket(s) with others to avoid unauthorised use of the Pass(es)/Event Ticket(s).
The Hong Kong Arts Development Council will collect and use the personal data (including name, affiliation information and contact details) of the participants and their related persons for the HKPAX and event arrangements and exchange opportunities. Your registration also signifies your acceptance and consent to that your personal data (including name and affiliation information) may be used for the HKPAX participant directory, and may be disclosed on the HKPAX website, its social media platforms, and any of its future promotional applications. Pass holders who request cancellation of the purchase of HKPAX Pass(es), please refer to the latest updates of the Cancellation and Refund Policy on our official website.
At all HKPAX venues and event sites, any house rules of these host venues and event sites will also apply, unless communicated otherwise by HKPAX.
Pass holders are entitled to attend HKPAX events (performances, exhibition, conversations and activities) free of charge, subject to venue capacity and during the scheduled opening hours. HKPAX cannot guarantee admittance to showcases and events that are at full capacity. Early arrival is recommended.
HKPAX reserves the right to modify, reschedule, cancel and/or terminate an Event at any time without prior notice. In case the entire HKPAX 2024 has to be cancelled due to force majeure, all registration and/or exhibition booth rental fees paid to HKPAX will be fully refunded.
HKPAX, its employees, agents, representatives or contractors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense, except in the case of death or personal injury if due to any negligent act or omission on their part.
Participants intending to purchase HKPAX passes are solely responsible for checking and complying with the visa regulations applicable to your respective countries. HKPAX shall not assume any responsibility for assisting or facilitating visa applications on behalf of the participants.
Participants who consider joining the Tour to Shenzhen/Guangzhou must independently verify their visa eligibility based on their nationality. HKPAX strongly advise participants to thoroughly research and adhere to the visa requirements and regulations governing such travel. HKPAX will not be held responsible for any consequences resulting from restrictions or bans imposed by mainland China immigration authorities.
HKPAX will not be responsible for any third-party liability incurred by delegates as a result of any alteration of format, date and location of the event.
Public performing or playing of music or dance is not permitted at the Expo.
By entering the HKPAX event sites, delegates give consent to and confirm that any photo and audio/audiovisual recording made of them during HKPAX (Expo, Exhibition, Showcases, Conversations, etc.) may be extensively used free of charge in press coverage as well as in any future promotional applications by HKPAX in all media and a documentary video. It is also agreed that this material may be used for sponsorship acquisition.
The HKPAX community believes in and expects a welcoming, tolerant, diverse and productive environment for all. HKPAX reserves the right to cancel registration due to an objective justified reason, such as offensive and discriminatory behaviour that may endanger the HKPAX operation or image.
In case of infringement of terms and conditions, HKPAX reserves the right to refuse registration, or to cancel your registration and all registration benefits without refund or reimbursement of expenses, and to refuse admission to or expel individuals from event sites.
HKPAX reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or to suspend or terminate the privilege offers at any time without any prior notice.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. Participants must observe the laws of Hong Kong at all times while they are within the HKPAX event sites. Participants agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
In the event of any dispute in connection with a HKPAX Full Pass/Day Pass/ Student Pass/Family Pass, the interpretation and decision of HKPAX shall be final and conclusive.
If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions should be invalid, that shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions.
In case of discrepancies between the English and Chinese version of these Terms of Use, the English version shall apply and prevail for all purposes.
