Pass - Terms and Conditions

  1. All Passes to the “Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo” (“HKPAX”), administered by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (“HKADC” or “we” or “us”), are subject to these Terms and Conditions. Your registration for and/or purchase of a Standard Pass/ Day Pass/ Student Pass/ Complimentary Pass for the events of the HKPAX signifies your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions in full and agreement to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, the Terms of Use of the HKPAX’s official website (“Website”), the Privacy Policy Statement of the Website and all applicable laws without limitation or qualification. “Pass” means the admission ticket for the Events of the HKPAX. “Event” means any of the performances, exhibition, conversations or activities of the HKPAX held during 9-15 October 2026 (regardless of the form, media, genre, theme and/or nature of such performance, exhibition or activity, whether admission is free or otherwise).
  2. Your registration of a user account on the Website is strictly personal. You are obliged to provide accurate personal information. It is forbidden to submit another person’s or company’s data to create an account without their consent, or to create a fake account. In case of abuse, we reserve the right to refuse registration or terminate the account without reimbursement of expenses.
  3. In case you are making a registration or purchase on behalf of another person (in the scope of individual or group registrations or purchases), you confirm to do this with the consent of this person and acknowledge your obligation to inform them about all applicable terms and conditions.
  4. Presentation of a HKPAX Standard Pass/ Day Pass/ Student Pass/ Complimentary Pass, admission into an Event and enjoyment of any privileges arising from or in connection with the relevant Pass by any person (whether by the HKPAX registered account holder or a third party presenting the relevant Pass) shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions.
  5. A Pass shall only be registered or purchased and payment settled through a valid registered user account on the Website. Registration or purchase for a Pass is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  6. You have the option to pre-select a Pass on the Website and save it for payment processing later. The system will store such information in your user account. However, please note that a Pass cannot be reserved in the Website until the transaction is completed. If payment is not settled within fourteen (14) calendar days after a pre-selection is saved, the pre-selection will be automatically cancelled by the Website system.
  7. All Events have limited quotas. Pass holders are required to pre-select certain Events (such as International Showcases) through the Website in advance to reserve a spot for the Event. Any deadlines for making or changing your selections shall be as announced on the Website from time to time. Walk-in options are available for other Events. Event quotas are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. For detailed registration formats of Events, please refer to the latest updates on the Website.
  8. Access to specific Events is granted based on the type of Pass registered or purchased. For detailed information regarding the Events and different types of access, please refer to the latest updates on the Website.
  9. Discounts are provided based on specific conditions. For detailed information regarding eligibility criteria for discounts, please refer to the latest updates on the Website. It is important to note that discounts cannot be combined unless with HKADC’s written authorisation.
  10. Student Passes are available only to full-time Hong Kong tertiary-level students.
  11. Each Pass is for admission by one individual to the specified Event.
  12. The Pass(es) shall not be sold, exchanged for cash or any other goods, services and/or privileges, and/or returned or refunded (same as otherwise permitted by these Terms and Conditions).
  13. No replacement Pass will be issued if defaced, deleted or corrupted.
  14. For the sake of clarity, any holder of a Pass should not share the Pass(es) with others to avoid unauthorised use of the Pass(es).
  15. The HKADC will collect and use the personal data (including name, affiliation information, contact details, capacity and interests) of the participants and their related persons in accordance with the Privacy Policy Statement of the Website and the relevant personal information collection statements. Your registration or purchase also signifies your acceptance and consent that: (i) your personal data (including name, affiliation information, email address, capacity and interests) may be used for the HKPAX participant directory and may be disclosed on the Website; (ii) if you are a selected Pass holder (e.g. key participants), your name and affiliation information may be featured on HKPAX’s social media platforms, and any of HKPAX’s future promotional applications; (iii) Pass holders’ email addresses may be shared with HKPAX’s Pass holders, exhibitors and partners for marketing purposes.
  16. By entering the HKPAX venues and event sites, you consent to and confirm that any photo and audio/audiovisual recording made of you during HKPAX may be used free of charge in press coverage as well as in any of HKPAX’s future promotional applications in all media and a documentary video. It is also agreed that this material may be used for sponsorship acquisition.
  17. Pass holders who request cancellation of the registration or purchase of Pass(es), please refer to the latest updates of the Cancellation and Refund Policy on the Website.
  18. At all HKPAX venues and event sites, any house rules of these host venues and event sites will also apply, unless communicated otherwise by us.
  19. Pass holders are entitled to attend Events free of charge, subject to venue capacity and during the scheduled opening hours, except for certain Events (such as Tour to the Greater Bay Area) as specified on the Website. We cannot guarantee admittance to Events that are at full capacity. Early arrival is recommended.
  20. We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, cancel and/or terminate an Event at any time without prior notice. In case the entire HKPAX has to be cancelled due to force majeure (including but not limited to war, terrorism, rebellion, civil, commotion, strikes, lock-outs and industrial disputes, fire, explosion, earthquake, acts of God, flood, drought, pandemic, or inclement weather or the requisitioning or other act or order by any Government department, council or other constituted body), all registration or purchase prices paid to HKADC will be fully refunded.
  21. HKADC, its employees, agents, representatives or contractors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense, except in the case of death or personal injury if due to any negligent act or omission on their part.
  22. Participants intending to register for or purchase Passes are solely responsible for checking and complying with the visa regulations applicable to your respective countries. We shall not assume any responsibility for assisting or facilitating visa applications on behalf of the participants.
  23. Participants who consider joining the Tour to the Greater Bay Area must independently verify their visa eligibility based on their nationality. We strongly advise participants to thoroughly research and adhere to the visa requirements and regulations governing such travel. We will not be held responsible for any consequences resulting from restrictions or bans imposed by relevant immigration authorities.
  24. We will not be responsible for any third-party liability incurred by participants as a result of any alteration of format, date and location of any Event.
  25. Public performing or playing of music or dance is not permitted at HKPAX unless with HKADC’s written authorisation.
  26. Participants must observe the laws of Hong Kong at all times while they are within the HKPAX venues and event sites.
  27. The HKPAX community believes in and expects a welcoming, tolerant, diverse and productive environment for all. We reserve the right to cancel registration and to refuse admission to or expel individuals from venues or event sites due to any objectively justified reason, such as offensive and discriminatory behaviour that may endanger the HKPAX operation or image.
  28. In case of infringement of these Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to refuse registration or purchase, or to cancel your registration or purchase and all registration benefits without refund or reimbursement of expenses, and to refuse admission to or expel individuals from venues or event sites.
  29. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or to suspend or terminate the privilege offers at any time without any prior notice.
  30. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. Participants agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
  31. In the event of any dispute in connection with a HKPAX Standard Pass/Day Pass/ Student Pass/ Complimentary Pass, the interpretation and decision of HKADC shall be final and conclusive.
  32. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions should be invalid, that shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions.
  33. In case of discrepancies between the English and Chinese version of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall apply and prevail for all purposes.
