Dim sum is a cornerstone of Hong Kong life. Say “dim sum” and you're sure to conjure up images of steamy barbequed pork buns, delicate shrimp dumplings, pan-fried radish cake...and, of course, all the tea you can drink.

Immerse yourself in this cultural and culinary experience with a guided visit to a teahouse, where you’ll use your five senses to learn what yum cha is all about. First, you’ll select your leaves and ground yourself in the heady aromas and clinking porcelain of the restaurant. Then, you’ll learn the small gestures that locals know by heart – from rinsing your utensils with hot tea to the finger-tapping tradition that signals “thank you”. You may even find yourself politely sharing a table with fellow diners, just as generations of Hongkongers have done – a small taste of the warmth and spontaneity of dim sum in a busy city.

This sensory journey into yum cha’s food, customs, and craft is an authentic introduction to Hong Kong’s living heritage, one cup of tea at a time.
